Important Update for Patients of Glebe Street Surgery
We’re pleased to inform you that Glebe Street Surgery is in the process of merging with Chiswick Medical Practice (CMP) – a group that already includes Grove Park Surgery, Wellesley Road Surgery, and Chiswick Family Doctors Practice. We are already working together to support patient care and staff at Glebe Street., and Chiswick Medical Practice clinical and operational teams are providing on-site support. We expect to complete the full merger in the next three months, at which point Glebe Street Surgery will officially become part of Chiswick Medical Practice under a single NHS contract. You do not need to do anything.
What stays the same?
- Glebe Street Surgery will remain open.
- You will still see your usual clinicians – our GPs, nurses and reception team are all continuing in post.
- You can continue to contact us in the usual way.
What will be new or improved after the merger?
Access to care will be enhanced through a new GP led hub, which supports patients with new or worsening problems. If your issue can be managed over the phone, we will do that. Otherwise, you’ll be offered an appointment at Glebe Street or another CMP site of your choice.
You will be able to access a wider range of services, including:
- Specialist women’s health services (coil fitting, menopause clinics)
- Minor surgery (removal of skin lesions/moles/tags in our minor surgery sites)
- Inclusive LGBTQ+ care (CMP holds a national Gold Award)
- Social and wellbeing support, including a gardening group and Otago chair-based exercise classes
We believe this merger will offer you better access, more choice, and enhanced care, without losing the continuity and familiarity of your usual surgery. We will keep you informed and send updates as they come in, both online and in the practice.
